Studies on the morphology and viability of the pollen grains of loquat



Progressive Horticulture 10(4): 45-51



Data are presented from studies with 5 loquat cvs, each aged 4 or 8 years, on the percentage of fertile pollen at different times during flowering and on pollen germination percentage of 2 cvs in different media after incubation at 25 deg C for 6 h. Fertile pollen percentage of all cvs was higher in older plants, at full bloom.
