Studies on the nematodes of vegetable in Bihar III. Effect of interaction of Meloidogyne incognita and Ozonium texanum var. parasiticum on brinjal

Studies on the nematodes of vegetable in Bihar III. Effect of interaction of Meloidogyne incognita and Ozonium texanum var. parasiticum on brinjal

Indian Journal of Nematology 1979; 7(1): 1-7

In pot experiments brinjal plants were inoculated with Meloidogyne incognita and Ozonium texanum var. parasiticum alone or in combination. Inoculation with both pathogens alone delayed flowering. The fungus was more pathogenic than the nematode. Maximum galling was observed in treatments where the plants were inoculated with the nematode alone or in simultaneous inoculation. Very few and small galls were observed on plants where the plant was inoculated with the fungus before the nematode.
