Studies on the occurrence of fruit tree red spider mite Panonychus ulmi (1943-1977), and its control with Peropal



Pflanzenschutz Nachrichten Bayer 30(3): 325-338



Trials were performed to assess the use of Peropal (azocyclotin) in the control of organophosphate-resistant strains of fruit tree red spider mite in apple and pear orchards. In the first experiment over 5 years Peropal was sprayed once at 0.025% a.i. when infestation was severe in summer and evaluations were made 3, 7 and 14 days after application. The mean effectiveness at these times was 97, 94 and 81%, respectively, compared to untreated trees.
