Studies on the physiology of hyacinth bulbs (Hyacinthus orientalis L.). XIV. The effect of gibberellic acid, abscisic acid and temperature on acid phosphatase and protease activities in slices of various hyacinth bulb organs

Studies on the physiology of hyacinth bulbs (Hyacinthus orientalis L.). XIV. The effect of gibberellic acid, abscisic acid and temperature on acid phosphatase and protease activities in slices of various hyacinth bulb organs

Acta Physiologiae Plantarum 2(2): 157-165

Low temperature (4 deg C) during washing had a strong inhibitory effect on acid phosphatase release to incubation media from slices cut from unchilled bulbs of the hyacinth Delft Blue. In the chilled bulbs low temperature washing had the opposite effect.
