Studies on viral pathogenesis in plant hosts. IX. Effect of citrinin on the formation of necrotic lesion and virus localization in the leaves of 'Samsun NN' tobacco plants after tobacco mosaic virus infection

At 5 or 10 mu g/ml in the light, citrinin did not affect infection and virus multiplication, but greatly inhibited the formation of necrotic lesions on leaf disks. On citrinin-absorbed leaves, infection remained localized without necrosis.
