On the basis of pre- and post-treatment faecal egg counts and larval cultures, the efficacy of fenbendazole at the dose rate 5 mg/kg was 100% in eliminating Haemonchus, 83% in eliminating Trichostrongylus and 17% in reducing egg output by 84-86%, 93% in eliminating Oesophagostomum spp. and 7% in reducing egg output by 99%, the effect on Strongyloides was variable.
