The experimental sawing of small logs with a twin circular saw. IV. Effects of the clearance angle of a saw blade and the face bevel angle of saw teeth upon sawing ability

The experimental sawing of small logs with a twin circular saw. IV. Effects of the clearance angle of a saw blade and the face bevel angle of saw teeth upon sawing ability

Journal of the Hokkaido Forest Products Research Institute (308): 1-6 + sum.

The relationship of the net power required for sawing to (a) 'clearance angle' (from diagrams, apparently not clearance angle but angle of set?) and (b) face bevel angle was studied. The optimum values of (a) and (b) with respect to power requirement were almost the same as those with respect to size accuracy.
