The possibilities of using biological means and integrated plant protection in greenhouse cultivation

Integrated control is being applied to many field crops in Bulgaria and seems likely to be effective also in greenhouses. One of the pests most concerned is Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westw.), and on the basis of work in the USSR with Aschersonia for its control, tests were made in Bulgaria. A preparation of the fungus was obtained in the laboratory at Plovdiv in 1971-72 and gave good results. It was again tested in 1977-78 on a larger scale.
