The share of phosphorus and potassium fertilization in herbage yield formation on a soil with a high humus content at a high level of nitrogen nutrition

Natural grassland dominated by meadow fescue at alt. 760 m in 1969-72 was given 160 or 320 kg N, 13.2, 26.4 or 52.8 kg P and 25.5, 51.0 or 102.0 kg K/ha in the combinations NPK, NP, NK or N. Compared with the controls given N only, the av. herbage DM yield increases at 160 kg N/ha with NPK, NP and NK were 3.28, 2.18 and 1.02 t/ha, resp.; at 320 kg N/ha the increases were 3.11, 2.24 and 1.16 t/ha.
