Tolerance of jojoba to herbicides

Tolerance of jojoba to herbicides

Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Jojoba, 13-16 September 1978, Riverside, California, USA: 381-386

Experiments were carried out to determine the effects of some of the most commonly used herbicides on jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis). A number of tests were made using various soils, herbicides, and in both laboratory and field situations. In loamy soil under laboratory conditions none of the herbicides tested caused any adverse effects when applied at recommended rates. In sandy soil, several did kill seedlings.
