Tomato forcing in unheated plastic houses

Tomato forcing in unheated plastic houses

Rostlinna Vyroba 25(1): 97-108

Spacing, and pruning and training methods were studied in trials with 5 indeterminate tomato cvs planted in unheated houses at the end of April. Growing with a single stem was preferable to growing with two stems, and cutting back above the second leaf over the third truss than cutting back over the fourth truss. For the cvs Harzfeuer F1, Nadja and Stupicke Polni Rane 30 X 25 + 50 cm spacing is recommended and for Start F1 and Stupicke Sklenikove 40 X 30 cm.
