Varietal specificity of soya bean in relation to the temperature regime during seed germination and emergence

Of the varieties tested, the most resistant to low temperatures (6-7 deg C) were Amur 41, Amur 310, Salyut 216 Yantarnaya Amur 42, Smena Khabarovsk 7 and seven hybrids in which one of the above-named varieties was the maternal form. The most heat demanding were Khabarovsk 4, Severnaya 4 Yubileinaya and five hybrids with a heat-demanding variety as the maternal form. No correlation was discovered between resistance to low temperatures and duration of growth period.
