Wastewater effluent-an element of total water resource planning

Wastewater effluent-an element of total water resource planning

Hydrology and water resources in Arizona and the Southwest Proceedings of the 1978 meetings of the Arizona Section, American Water Resources Association and the Hydrology Section, Arizona Academy of Science, Flaggstaff, Arizona, April 14-15, 1978: 115-119

Wastewater reuse options for the Phoenix, Arizona, area are discussed. They include: agricultural irrigation, fish and wildlife enhancement, groundwater recharge, industrial processing and cooling, recreation, cooling for power generation stations, and exchange of effluent for additional water supplies. Consideration is given to this effluent reuse potential as a commodity to exchange for water suitable for domestic water supply.
