' Road got no mouth' women in the upper region of Ghana as participants in their own developmental process: 62

This thesis, which is a follow up of field research carried out in 1978 in the Upper Region of Ghana and a subsequent field report, treats female small farmers' mobilization and participation in the Upper Region of Ghana. It deals with the question of how women's groups can be formed at the local level and used to give women an equitable position in society. Macro socio-economic, political and cultural factors influence the possibilities for women's mobilization and participation.
