1. On the viability of villages

1. On the viability of villages

Village viability in contemporary society: 19-31

A village is defined as a community in which it is possible for every resident to know every other person living there. It should also have a name and some awareness of the settlement as a community continuity over time, the presence of at least three living generations and a belief in the possibility of continuity of membership in the future.
