1979 virus tolerance ratings of corn strains grown in Missouri



Agricultural Research Results, Science and Education Administration, USDA (ARR-NC-5): 1-6



Ratings, on a scale from 1 (no symptoms) to 9 (death of plant), of maize dwarf mosaic virus and maize chlorotic dwarf virus were made for 44 commercial dent maizes, four sweet corns and two hybrid controls at two localities. At one locality the rating ranged from 3.48 to 6.84 and at the other locality from 1.95 to 5.25. All four sweet corns rated 6.42 or higher.
