Araecerus fasciculatus (Deg.) is known primarily as a pest of stored products including coffee, cacao, nutmeg, maize, groundnuts, nut crops, spices, grains and dried fruit in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. It has also been reported attacking living plants and their fruits, including coffee and citrus (the latter only in Florida).
