A broad analysis of fifteen sites in the tall-grass prairie of Oklahoma



Proceedings of the Oklahoma Academy of Science 60: 39-42



Tall-grass prairie stands which varied from 3 to 80 ac were located in 15 counties in Oklahoma. 9 had been hay meadows and the rest were natural climax prairie vegetation. Av. temp. and rainfall/yr and sp. composition are listed for each site. Andropogon scoparius was the most important grass in all the regions but it declined in numbers from W. to E.
