A chromosomal analysis based on the G and C band staining techniques of the buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)

A chromosomal analysis based on the G and C band staining techniques of the buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)

Japanese Journal of Veterinary Research 28(4): 122-128

The chromosomes of 1 male and 2 female swamp buffaloes were G- and C-banded. The diploid number was 2n = 48. The karyotype consisted of 10 metacentric or submetacentric chromosomes and 38 acrocentrics.
