A comparative anatomical survey of fruits and seeds of selected species of Vaccinium L. (Ericaceae Juss.)

Species differed in exocarp wax patterns and in the structure of endocarpic stomata. These and other anatomical features indicated that evolutionary advance in the species studied is in the order: V. oxycoccus and V. macrocarpum < V. myrtillus < V. angustifolium < V. corymbosum.
