In irrigated trials in Siberia, oat (a) Krupnozernyi 67 yielded 4.8-5.4 t grain/ha and outyielded (b) Poveda by 790-802 kg/ha because (a) was 23% more efficient than (b) in utilization of photosynthetically-active radiation.
