A comparison of milk production and persistency of lactation in crossbred Polish Black-and-White Lowland X Holstein-Friesian cows and purebred Polish Black-and-White Lowland cows

For 31 crossbred cows and 31 purebreds, milk production during the first 305-day lactation averaged 5762 and 5016 kg resp., and fat production 243 and 214 kg. Milk production during the 2nd lactation, for 13 cows in each group, averaged 5870 and 4852 kg resp., and fat production 246 and 201 kg.
