In a trial sown in April 1980 and harvested 6 times between Sept. 1980 and July 1981, fresh fodder yields ranged from 38.6 t/ha in Hasawi to 64.6 t in Moapa which was significantly higher than the 2 local Kowli (53.2 t) and Bahidi (42.2 t).
