A forecasting and simulation model of the EC cereals market. Part II: modelling principles and quantifying the determinants of demand for cereals

A forecasting and simulation model of the EC cereals market. Part II: modelling principles and quantifying the determinants of demand for cereals

Mitteilungen uber Landwirtschaft (80): 194

Part I of this study by H. Weindlmaier and E. Krebs which appeared as Nos.43 and 44 (1978) of this series (WAERSA 21, 734 and 2126) dealt with the determinants of cereal supplies and prices. Part II seeks to use similar simulation methods to establish the determinants of the use of grains for different purposes (seed, animal feeds, food grains, industrial processing) and to calculate the trends in utilization of different types of cereals for these purposes for EC member countries.
