In field and greenhouse trials with 30 clones derived from Czechoslovakia and introduced lucerne cv., determinations were made of seed set and seed number per flower and pod with open and self pollination. Av. seed yields were influenced by external conditions, especially variations in rainfall. Correlations between yr were positive and significant.
