Analyses of meiotic metaphase in haploid progeny from haploid (Rocket) X diploid (Natasja) crosses in flax

Haploids from haploid-diploid twin seedlings occurring in Rocket showed meiotic anaphase disjunction patterns with equal, unequal, irregular or precocious chromosome distribution to the poles. When Rocket haploids were pollinated with pollen from diploids, capsule set ranged from 5 to 46%, with one seed per capsule. The F1 plants were predominantly diploid with some aneuploid or triploid. Twinning frequency averaged 7%.
