Analysis of quantitative variation in varieties of flue cured tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum)

Variation in plant height, number of days to flowering, and yield and some of its components in an eight-variety diallel was analysed according to Griffing's model I and by Hayman's graphical method. General combining ability was important for all the characters investigated, but specific combining ability for days to flowering, height and leaf breadth only.
