Anti-Candida salivary immunoglobulins. Evidence of a specific local immune reaction

Anti-Candida salivary immunoglobulins. Evidence of a specific local immune reaction

Revue de Stomatologie et de Chirurgie Maxillo-Faciale 82(2): 136-139

Parotid saliva was studied in 119 subjects, some of whom were demonstrated as carrying Candida albicans in the oral cavity. No significant differences were found in the levels of total salivary IgA between the 2 groups, but specific IgA levels in the saliva differed significantly between the 2 groups with or without C. albicans.
