1078 cows were given subcutaneous injections of rotavirus vaccine (containing rotavirus antigen adsorbed on Al(OH)3) 3 wk before calving and at calving, as well as intramuscular injections of attenuated live BVD-IBR vaccine after the 8th month of pregnancy. During the 1st 3 wk of life, calves were allowed to suck dams ad lib.
