Content of mineral and organic components in different periods of autumn-winter and early spring growth in rye, wheat and winter rape. Part IV. Quantitative changes in the content of free amino acids

Content of mineral and organic components in different periods of autumn-winter and early spring growth in rye, wheat and winter rape. Part IV. Quantitative changes in the content of free amino acids

Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie Sklodowska, E 32/33: 201-212

The aboveground parts of rye, wheat and winter rape plants were sampled at monthly intervals from Nov. to May in 1970-3 and analysed for free amino acids. The greatest total accumulation of free amino acids was in Nov.-Jan. and in April. Glutamic acid, serine, proline, alanine, valine, leucine and phenylalanine showed the greatest quantitative changes during the periods studied.
