Control of Gliocladium in Chamaedorea palms

Control of Gliocladium in Chamaedorea palms

Proceedings of the Florida State Horticultural Society 1981; 93: 194-195

Growth of G. vermoeseni on PDA was best at 24-27 deg C. Growth inhibition at 30 deg suggests that high temps. may account for a decline in disease during the summer in Fla. Growth was completely inhibited by 1 p.p.m. benomyl in PDA. Foliar sprays of benomyl, benomyl + mancozeb and chlorothalonil reduced infection.
