Control of bovine mastitis in Czechoslovakia

Control of bovine mastitis in Czechoslovakia

Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 36(11): 401-403

The national mastitis control campaign was divided into three five-year stages. During the first stage, from 1975 to 1980, attention was concentrated on streptococcal and staphylococcal mastitis in breeding herds and large production units, previous surveys having shown that 74% of mastitis was caused by streptococci and 14% by staphylococci. Between 1981 and 1985 the aim will be to consolidate the results achieved and to extend the scheme to further herds.
