In the foothills of Kabardino-Balkaria up to 100% of leaves are often attacked by Pseudopeziza medicaginis, yield and seed quality being lowered. In early Apr. PK fertilizers were used in the field. In June-July the grass stand was treated with phytobacteromycin (0.02%) or an infusion of mustard powder (1%), each at 600 l/ha.
