Control of natural flowering in the Smooth Cayenne pineapple, Ananas comosus (L.) Merr

In Zululand and Swaziland Smooth Cayenne pineapple plants may flower at any time, thus interfering with production planning. The results are given of a trial comparing the effects of one of several substances to prevent natural flowering, including NAA and GA3, each applied 3 times at monthly intervals starting at the end of March.
