Control of nezasa (Pleioblastus distichus var. nezasa) and kudzu vine (Pueraria lobata) with glyphosate in citrus groves

Control of nezasa (Pleioblastus distichus var. nezasa) and kudzu vine (Pueraria lobata) with glyphosate in citrus groves

Weed Research, Japan 25(4): 279-285

Glyphosate (Roundup) was applied as 2% and 4% a.i. solutions to nezasa and kudzu vine in citrus groves. These perennial weeds were treated overhead using a spray volume of 500 litres/ha in July and August 1978. Effects of the 2% glyphosate solution on nezasa appeared within 3 weeks and no regrowth was observed until the following spring.
