Of three treatments of gamma rays applied to five-year-old trees of Sunki mandarin for 20 h at three stages of flowering or at the young fruit stage, treatment with 2 kR at the small floral bud stage gave the fewest embryos per seed or sometimes monoembryonic seed and a high frequency of zygotic seedlings at germination.
