When adults of the cashew pest Crimissa cruralis Stal were confined with pieces of cashew leaves that had been dipped in insecticides and allowed to dry, the corrected mortality percentages after 24 h were 100 for a 40% aldrin emulsifiable concentrate used at 1 ml/litre, a 60% parathion-methyl emulsifiable concentrate used at 0.65 ml/litre, or a 35% endosulfan emulsifiable concentrate used at 2 ml/litre; 98.75 for a 40% triazophos emulsifiable concentrate used at 1.87 ml/litre; 97.5 for a 60% diazinon emulsifiable concentrate used at 1.25 ml/litre; 95 for a 40% methidathion emulsifiable concentrate used at 1.5 ml/litre, an emulsifiable concentrate of dichlorvos (DDVP) used at 0.62 ml/litre, or a 1% omethoate product used at 1.5 ml/litre; 90 for a 50% profenofos emulsifiable concentrate used at 4 ml/litre; and 87.5 for a 40% monocrotophos solution used at 1.58 ml/litre.
