Control of the process of rearing insects under the conditions of arising instability

Control of the process of rearing insects under the conditions of arising instability

Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly, Biologicheskie Nauki (10): 31-34

Comparisons were made in the USSR of 2 methods of rearing Culex molestus Forsk. (pipiens molestus) in the laboratory. A function of desirability was used to estimate the quality of a colony. By the first process, of evolutionary planning, variations were made in the numbers of larvae in a rearing container and in the amount of food provided; satisfactory results were obtained in 9 of 16 trials.
