Control trial against Aphelenchoides fragariae on strawberry using chemical and physical means

Immersion of freeze-preserved strawberry plants in Thionazin 20 E (0.2%) for 5 min did not significantly affect plant survival or productivity. Immersion of fresh plants in Thionazin 20 E at 0.1, 0.2 or 0.3% for 5 min before freeze preservation virtually eliminated A. fragariae infection. Washing the plants after treatment reduced the nematicidal effect at the 2 lower concentrations.
