Controlling nematode damage



American Nurseryman 155(4): 85-89



An assessment is given of the relative susceptibility of several ornamental trees and shrubs, including Ilex and Buxus spp. and Camellia japonica, to Meloidogyne, Tylenchorhynchus and Macroposthonia spp. Notes are included on foliar and root symptoms of damage. The recommended control measures comprise planting tolerant species and cvs, sanitation and the use of nematicides.
