Conversion and correlation coefficients in evaluation of milk production on shortened lactation

Conversion and correlation coefficients in evaluation of milk production on shortened lactation

Nauchnye Trudy Leningradskogo Sel' skokhozyaistvennogo Instituta 342: 95-96

Milk yields and milk fat and protein contents were measured in the 1st 6 months and in 305 days of 1st lactation in a total of 958 Russian Black Pied that calved at different seasons of the yr during 1961-1975. For 305-day lactation milk yield averaged 3902-4924 kg with fat 3.69-4.06%, and protein 3.25-3.37%; corresponding values for 6 months were 2783-3440 kg, 3.58-3.89% and 3.19-3.79%.
