The amount of wood (m.c. 40-50%) that would generate the same amount of heat as 1 m3 oil is: 5.8-6.5 m3 for pine stemwood, 6-6.4 for pine residues, 6-6.5 for spruce stemwood, 5.1-6.1 for spruce residues, and 4.8-5.2 for both birch stemwood and residues.
