Copper content of soils and plants. 3. Effect of copper fertilization on the copper content of plants and soils

In pot experiments wheat, barley, oats, millet and mustard were grown in a range of soils varying in copper content, and supplied with 15 or 30 mg Cu per pot as CuSO4. Mustard, millet and barley showed yield responses to copper fertilization only on the soil poor in copper. The copper content of all crops increased following copper applications to the same soil.
