The 534 samples of main feeds analysed included mixed grass and legume hay, maize silage, haylage, wheat grain and straws, barley and oats. The feeds from the different zones were deficient in copper, 2.0 to 6.8 mg/kg DM, and had zinc 3.9 to 8.9, cobalt 0.006 to 0.060 and manganese 52.7 to 65.8 mg/kg.
