Correlation between direct and maternal genetic effects on body weight in mice

Correlation between direct and maternal genetic effects on body weight in mice

Canadian Journal of Genetics and Cytology. Journal Canadien de Genetique et de Cytologie 20(4): 597-599

A new method of estimating the correlation between additive direct genetic effects (Ao) and additive maternal genetic effects (Am) for body weight was devised for crossfostering data on mice. The correlation between Ao on body weight at 42 days of age and Am on body weight at 12 days was as 0.561.
