Correlations and regressions between stem length and diameter in wheat (Triticum aestivum) and lodging resistance

Correlations and regressions between stem length and diameter in wheat (Triticum aestivum) and lodging resistance

Buletini i Shkencave Bujqesore 18(3): 5-22

In studies in 1976-1978, a total of 816 varieties were divided into five classes on the basis of culm length, from below 70 cm to over 130 cm, and 726 varieties were divided into seven classes on the basis of culm diameter, from below 2.4 mm to over 5 mm. The degree of lodging was correlated positively with culm length and negatively with culm diameter.
