Cost of milk production in different seasons - a case study of Krishna district



Financing Agriculture 12(4): 39-41



A study of the pattern of investment in dairy farming and cost of milk production, based on analysis of data from a sample of 75 dairy households in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh in 1979, showed that dairying was a profitable business. Feed costs accounted for 52% of the total cost of milk production, followed by cost of human labour (22%).
