Uniform fruits of the guava Sardar (harvested when light green) were packed in 30 X 45 cm polyethylene bags into which 5 g CO2 was placed. The bags were then sealed and the fruits stored for up to 10 days (temperature unspecified). Weight loss and wastage were greatly reduced by CO2 treatment.
