Effect of diet treatment on exocrine pancreatic function in patients with chronic enterocolitis



Voprosy Pitaniya (2): 50-55



For 42 days patients with chronic enterocolitis were given diet 4b or 4p; 4b was physiologically complete and contained 100 to 120 g protein, 80 to 100 g fat and 300 to 350 g carbohydrates and excluded roughages, pure milk, hot dishes and fats of high-melting points, whereas 4p contained 130 to 140 g protein, 100 g fat and 300 to 350 g carbohydrates (with limited amounts of oligosaccharides) and excluded products of fat breakdown, obtained during frying, and fermentation products.
