Female progeny of silver foxes of 2 lines, selected for domesticated behaviour and non-selected resp., were exposed in utero and between birth and sexual maturity to the natural photoperiod (controls) or to 20-h light:4-h dark (20L:4D) or 6L:18D (5-19 animals per group). Data are tabulated on plasma oestradiol and progesterone concentrations, and production of these hormones by the ovaries and adrenals, during puberty (5-7 mth of age) and at 8 mth.
